    Youth Frontiers is a youth mentoring program for female children and young people, aged 10-17 years in contact with the criminal justice and child protection systems in the Fairfield LGA. The program aims to engage young people’s strengths by building skills and experience through mentoring support. This program supports children and young women who have had some contact with the justice system and or their family have been involved in the justice system and they need support.

    Now calling for Movie Crew Volunteers - volunteer roles on offer for 2022 include film hosts, event crew, bar attendants, ushers, hospitality crew, festival promoters and VIP hosts and drivers. The festival will join the South West from August 23 to 28 and will have more than 200 free and ticketed screen-related events in about 40 locations including local wineries, galleries, cinemas and small bars.

    Preparations for the region’s highly anticipated CinefestOZ have ramped up, with organisers on the hunt for passionate volunteers to help bring the festival to life. Get involved at this year’s CinefestOZ! Now in its 15th year, organisers have put the call out for passionate film buffs to join the “movie crew” in a variety of rolls to ensure the ever-growing event continues to succeed. We are also excited to welcome new volunteers.

    QSHBA is a volunteer-run not-for-profit group that is very active in the community. We have 4 permanent bands that perform regularly: the Light Horse Heritage Band, the Queensland Show Band, the Bayside Youth Band and QSHBA Drum Corps. With current volunteers focused on teaching and performance roles, we need 1 or more volunteers to help keep us going behind the scenes, assisting with clerical duties, band room maintenance, as well as library and asset management.

    Cinemallunga is a non for profit organisation providing Community Cinema events, showcasing feature films with an emphasis on fun and frivolity. The show takes place every 2 months & moviegoers are encouraged to dress up, and get into the spirit of the "shenanigans" that go along with the movies' theme. They have a licences bar & catering on the night, with a lolly bar & soft drinks for the children's matinee shows. Many Volunteer roles available!
