Geraldton Historical Society is looking for Museum Assistant Volunteers for the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage Museum! The museum houses an extensive collection of historical photos, research & reference material, as well as displays of Heritage lifestyle objects regarding the history of the region. A Museum Asst. would Meet and Greet visitors, guide them through the society's rooms, be able to maintain the library & the museum and open the cottage timely. On the job training will be provided.

The purpose of the Regional Visitor Ambassador is to promote the region and all of its attractions (including the Whale Centre), providing recommendations, advice and assistance to visitors and the community. These recommendations might include things to do, attractions, accommodation and events. Volunteers are key ambassadors for Victor Harbor and Fleurieu Peninsula.

We are looking for individuals and groups who would be prepared to be part of a roster of entertainers for our Southaven and/or Brindabilla Day Centres. If you can entertain in any way, shape or form we want to hear from you! Cinemallunga is a non for profit organisation providing Community Cinema events, show casing feature films, with the emphasis on fun & frivolity. Audience participation is highly encouraged. The shows take place every two months & moviegoers are encouraged to dress up, and get into the spirit of the “shenanigans” that go along with the movie’s theme. From stacking chairs to exotic dancing!! There is something for everyone.

It is a varied position where no two days will be the same, providing a rewarding and welcoming learning experience to the Museum through guided visits to the public. This role requires a well presented individual, with good communication and interpersonal skills. Full training and an introduction will be provided to the Museum exhibits. The Museum is open Monday to Saturday, with two guides or hosts working together. Volunteers must be vaccinated.

It is the last lighthouse of the James Barnet style to be built, and the last staffed lighthouse constructed in New South Wales.
