The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes. The Monsignor Hawes Museum Attendant will engage with visitors to help them appreciate the wonderful story of Monsignor John Cyril Hawes and to take the opportunity to visit the many places he built in the Midwest and Gascoyne region of WA.

It’s all here, tourism, history, holiday programs and events! Opportunities exist for volunteers in multiple roles: heritage guides, customer service, visitor information assistants, and village “stollers” in heritage costume. Our Port Kennedy Containers for Change depot is a not-for-profit, this means we are an organisation driven by a purpose, not profit, and our purpose is to create opportunities for people to get into work. Containers for Change is the 10c refund recycling scheme that has been introduced to Western Australia. The Bridging the Gap – Port Kennedy depot receives eligible recyclables for the Rockingham region, keeping them out of landfill.

The museum is only open 2 mornings a week. We need more people so that we can open other times. Front of house involves greeting visitors, recording visitor numbers, recording any sales and ensuring museum is clean & tidy. Training will be available so that you can help with answering visitor questions re local history.

The role includes calculating fares, selecting and reconciling tickets for each visit of the historic SteamRanger train. Duties also include responding to queries and offering information to visitors in a friendly and helpful manner, along with

Currently looking for people to do a shift on the weekend; Saturday & or Sunday alternating shifts 10-1 or 1-4pm. Sunday 10-1. Containers for Change is the 10c refund recycling scheme that has been introduced to Western Australia. The Care for Hedland depot receives eligible recyclables for the Hedland region, keeping them out of landfill. In this role you will be sorting and counting eligible drink containers and providing refunds to customers. The depot received both small and large returns of containers so extra hands to help sort, count and serve the community are always welcome.
