On Sunday 11 August Muscular Dystrophy will stage Run for Strength - a fun run/walk around Princes Park. We need volunteers to act as marshalls around the course making sure participants dont go the wrong way. It is an easy job but one that is crucial to the success of the event. The Volunteers Hub at Diamond Valley Community Support is advertising this volunteer role on behalf of Lower Plenty Dance Group, a small not-for-profit volunteer organization running live and online weekly dance for people with intellectual disabilities. The Committee meets every second month on the 3rd Thursday for approx 2 hours to manage the dance group affairs.

Abbeyfield Garran is a not for profit which provides affordable, inclusive, homelike and safe accommodation for people with a mild cognitive disability where residents can maintain their independence with dignity and choice. The Garran house is run by a volunteer management committee and employs a housekeeper to provide meals and support the residents on a day- to-day basis. We have 10 young adult residents.
