We are a small charity providing leadership development through student entrepreneurship for social and environmental good. Our fun team need a Volunteer Event Coordinator to help us prepare for our annual National event and potentially our Regional Events.

The Hunter Cancer Hub is based in the Canteen office in Newcastle and is an exciting new project, launched in early 2022 that will act as the central point between those who are impacted by cancer and support services. There are almost 475,000 people living after stroke in Australia. Despite public misperception, there are proven treatments for stroke prevention and recovery.

The combination of music events and environmental awareness can be a powerful way to engage people and raise funds for important causes like marine conservation. Initiating opportunities for Sea Shepherd Australia chapters to collaborate with the music industry and organise national or multi-state tours can have a significant impact in creating awareness and generating support for the ocean.

The Regional Lead is responsible for the Regional Operations Team (ROT) but will be provided with support and assistance from the International Operations Team. The Regional Leads will be invited to participate on the IPT calls on a monthly basis to maintain communications between the IOT and ROT’s. Support from the various IOT teams i.e. volunteer management, marketing and communications will be provided as required. Regional Leads will also be able to access Operations Support.

Gain experience in events and program delivery assisting our team to deliver a wide range of programs at award winning Bankfoot House Heritage Precinct. From education programs with local schools, to performances and exhibitions, heritage talks and festivals. You will gain experience in project development, event delivery and be actively involved on-site assisting with set-up and pack-down, program delivery, ticketing and registration, food and beverage and visitor engagement.
