YPRL is seeking a new **Reading Dogs team** to join Thomastown Library. Our Reading Dogs program promotes children’s literacy by having children read aloud to dogs at the library. Our mission is to make reading fun and enjoyable for children so that they become confident and lifelong readers. Reading Dogs are accredited companion animals who volunteer with their owner/handler as a team by facilitating reading sessions. Your help will allow us to find appropriate permanent homes for these cats. We have cats right now coming up for going into foster care. You'll need to sign a foster care agreement to proceed, with suitable identity. You cannot foster a cat for another rescue or foster care group at the same time.

As a Local Coordinator, you will provide additional support to a High School Exchange student from overseas who is living with a host family and attending High School in your local community. A Local Coordinator must live within 2 hours of where a student is living. If you are interested in other cultures, young people and families, this role is perfect for you. You may have been an exchange student or host family yourself - but that is not a requirement.
