for Mercy Connect Perth (Swan) - Young People
Volunteers are needed to offer mentoring and tutoring support to children from refugee backgrounds at their schools. Refugee children often feel isolated and anxious and subsequently withdraw from classroom participation 3 hours per week.
for Advocare - Seniors & Aged Care
Do you have 1 hour per week to spare to make a difference to an older person. Sharing time for a cup of tea, chat, sharing a common interest and offering friendship.
for Uniting Victoria And Tasmania - Community Services
Welcome consumers with referrals for a food parcel from Uniting Wodonga. Food given according to instruction on the food voucher referral form. • On food delivery days, assist other volunteers to restack shelves from delivered pallets. • Assist with keeping the centre clean and tidy. • Maintain records of consumer food parcels according to the system in place.
Conduct interviews with people who present to Uniting Wodonga seeking assistance with food or other forms of financial relief. • Facilitate referral to other programs of Uniting and other agencies as appropriate. • Assist with administrative tasks including answering the phone and taking messages as directed. • Maintain records of people’s visits according to the data system in place.

Interchange is a program within UMFC’s Carer Aged and Disability Service and provides support to children and young people with disability and their families/carers. Interchange is supported by volunteers to create social and recreational opportunities through group and individual activities.Volunteer Host carers provide a very special opportunity to support and enhance the life of a young person with a disability, their family and primary carers.
