We currently require Volunteer Foster Carers' to open their homes to cats & kittens, to give them a home while we search for their forever homes! If you have a love of cats and a spare room, this could be the purr-fect opportunity to help us out!

Peel Group Riding for the Disabled trading as Peel Horse Power are a not-for-profit organisation, who offer lessons to clients with disabilities. Volunteers can always find a job that suits them, working with horses / clients / paperwork / cleaning / jobs around the farm. In joining Collingwood Children's Farm Busy Bees Volunteer program, you get the opportunity to immerse yourself in the nature and beauty that the Farm has to offer, whilst learning about the daily operations from our experienced and passionate team. But that's not all! You’ll be rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty completing some vital farm jobs. Side walking - No experience necessary. Walking beside horse, supporting clients with disabilities as they ride, making sure they stay safely seated on the horse in accordance with RDAA policies. Leading horses - Volunteers with horse management experience to groom and generally prepare horses for our riding sessions with disabled clients, then to safely lead horses in accordance with RDAA safety policies.

Would you like to assist in preparing horses for lessons, leading horses in the lessons & working with riders with disabilities? If you like horses & are keen to help disabled people enjoy the thrill of riding a horse then this is the volunteer role is for you! They are also seeking volunteers Mon - Friday in the mornings to assist with the feeding of the horses. Having experience is an advantage. No experience? That's okay, training is provided! Tidy up of the cross country course includes mowing, painting, picking up of sticks, fence repairs and whipper snippering.

Volunteering with Valley RDA is a very rewarding experience assisting riders with varied abilities to reach their goals as a rider whilst improving their physical mental and emotional well being.
