Empowered Together is on the lookout for brand new Workshop Facilitators to deliver our Consent 101 workshop to young people across Melbourne.

Customer service role - Volunteers are needed to work as team members providing free, confidential, impartial information and referral services to any person or family. The role involves connecting people with information and services to help them make independent and informed decisions, in addition to making bookings etc; for our solicitor legal services. This position may not be suitable for job-seekers as long term commitment is required. It is suggested suitable for ages 60 and over.

Community Visitors uphold the Human Rights of people living in supported care. They visit accommodation facilities and monitor and report on the adequacy of services provided. This role is ideally suited to individuals who are able to visit during day-time hours or late afternoons and who can make a commitment of two years. Training will be provided to support you in the role.

FIN Townsville offers free independent support to all families involved in Child Safety to ensure the safety of children is paramount, and families are appropriately supported. The Redland Community Centre needs casual Emergency Relief (ER) Volunteers to join their team to assist in providing support to people experiencing a crisis. Casual ER Volunteers will assist by covering holidays and other leave.

Volunteer Mentor assists vulnerable women at risk of offending or those who have been charged with a criminal offence, to navigate the complex justice system, reduce reoffending, and build social connections through matching them with a screened and trained volunteer mentor.

Volunteer with this Service and provide a support person role for people with cognitive impairment at courthouses, police stations, lawyer’s offices and prisons. Volunteers ensure that criminal justice processes and language are explained clearly and that the client’s wishes and decisions are respected. Your strong communication skills and the ability to relate to and interact well with others will be highly regarded. Basic computer skills are required for this role.
