MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Peer Support Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a peer support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion.

Assist with the operation of the Book Trolley at our Centre. This role involves processing donated books and magazines, including screening suitable books and magazines for content. You will organise and maintain the Volunteer Library, organise and transport the book trolley, offer books and magazines to consumers, their carers, and families in our Centre and provide general support and/or conversation to involve them in positive connections.

The role is supporting parents, grandparents, and significant others in a child's life to navigate the Child Safety system. FIN Townsville offers free independent support to all families involved in Child Safety to ensure the safety of children is paramount, and families are appropriately supported.
