Opportunities exist for volunteers in multiple roles: heritage guides, customer service, visitor information assistants, and village “stollers” in heritage costume. Guide Dogs Qld are hosting the Cairns Canine Carnival – a great day out for all ages (dogs included) with dog training and agility demonstrations, market stalls, kids activities and food trucks. We need volunteers to help support various roles within the Carnival such as merchandise stall, logistic set up, gate takings, general venue support.

Live on-site at the Women's Museum of Australia within the secure walls of the heritage-listed Old Alice Springs Gaol! You must have own caravan, (max 2.9m in height) with own shower and toilet. In exchange, we ask for 6 hours on a Saturday and 6 hours on a Sunday and a few hours per week of general light maintenance duties and roster cover when needed with two days per week off, usually Tuesday and Wednesday.
