Want to volunteer but don't have the time for ongoing volunteering? Passionate about ending poverty? Why not register to be a campaign's volunteer? Volunteer once or twice a year for one or two days and help our Regular Giving team with mail, stocktake and other relevant activities. Notice will be given in advance so you can plan your volunteering days.

On Sunday 11 August Muscular Dystrophy will stage Run for Strength - a fun run/walk around Princes Park. We need volunteers to act as marshalls around the course making sure participants dont go the wrong way. It is an easy job but one that is crucial to the success of the event. Its a wonderful celebration of able bodied people coming together with those with a disability.

Timers are responsible for timing boats as they cross your respective marker (500m, 1000m, 1500m and Finish Line) Timer, Timing

Some tasks may include directing and encouraging participants around the course, selling merchandise, and handing out participants' packs. There is even a role for the keen bike riders out there! We need volunteers on the day from 6.45am. to approximately midday in various roles.

As an ERP Implementation Consultant you will be part of the team implementing and managing end to end projects to meet our ERP system requirements on time. Ensure the ERP system to support business processes and assist with the implementation of changes and improvements to these applications.

BeachPatrol & Love Our Street litter collection volunteer groups operate in 40+ postcodes. Groups meet monthly to pick up litter from local beaches, streets or parks and meet like-minded people who are passionate about preserving our environment, wildlife, marine life & ecosystems. The groups log their data in the LitterStopper app, which feeds into the DEECA LitterWatch database. We advocate for changes to reduce litter, raise awareness & support the government in tackling issues.

We held over 171 events requiring volunteers in 2023....Galas, toy room packing, Santa elves, pom pom making, City to Surf, Convoy for Kids, Lego Brickbuilt, more galas, Mothers Day stalls in hospitals, Childrens week in hospitals, TikTok filming, TVC filming, Sydney Sick Kids Day, Giving Day, BBQ helpers, Christmas concerts, Golf Days, Car Clubs, Walk for KIds with Cancer, Nurses Ball, corporate days to name just a few!!!

We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a timekeeper, marshal, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.

Habitat for Humanity Australia requires volunteers for repair and maintenance work on crisis accommodation. The program benefits disadvantaged and socially isolated members of the community. There is a range of volunteer opportunities both in and around Newcastle. No skills are required! Teams are mobilised to conduct landscaping, painting and minor repairs to homes and crisis accommodation.
