A Consumer Advisor is a member of our community who can voice a lived experience of health care at Western Health. They participate in committees, focus groups, projects and a range of other activities to ensure the patient perspective is always considered. Consumer Advisors are part of the Western Health community and should reflect the diversity of our community

A Day Centre providing social activities and and contact for older people who have intellectual, physical and psychiatric disabilities requires volunteers to offer companionship to the consumers and assist with various activities.

Are you a patient, carer, family or community member living in the Eastern region - Maroondah, Whitehorse, Boroondara, Yarra Ranges, Knox and Manningham? Are you passionate about ensuring healthcare meets the needs of you, your family, or your community? If so, join the Eastern Health Consumer Participation program. This is your chance to contribute to change.

Meals on Wheels (MOW) volunteers play an integral role transporting nutritious meals from a MOW meal provider to older people in our communities. For many MOW recipients, the volunteer is the only person they see that day, so the service also plays a vital role in social connection and monitoring wellbeing of older people. If you are a caring and compassionate individual with a vehicle, a drivers' licence, and a desire to help people, then we would love to hear from you!

The Volunteer Service for the Flinders Medical Centre operates a very popular BBQ services located at the Courtyard on Level 2 at Flinders Medical Centre. The volunteers need a fit able-bodied person that would be willing to assist them in the clean up at the end of the day. Shift requirement is: Wednesday to Friday 1 pm - 3 pm.
