The Event Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA at events and workshops both on site at the Genealogy Library and at other venues. He/she is responsible for promoting the Society as an organisation of choice in regard to family history research and membership. The role also involves assisting with the set-up for the event, such as setting out chairs, laying out brochures, meeting guests and checking registration lists as guests arrive.

The Regional Lead is responsible for the Regional Operations Team (ROT) but will be provided with support and assistance from the International Operations Team. The Regional Leads will be invited to participate on the IPT calls on a monthly basis to maintain communications between the IOT and ROT’s. Support from the various IOT teams i.e. volunteer management, marketing and communications will be provided as required. Regional Leads will also be able to access Operations Support.

Gain experience in events and program delivery assisting our team to deliver a wide range of programs at award winning Bankfoot House Heritage Precinct. From education programs with local schools, to performances and exhibitions, heritage talks and festivals. We need someone to help at the Museum with Group tours bookings. follow up with the tours for tour numbers. This is an important job in the Museum as a Group tours are a major fundraiser activity. Catering for our Tour groups, purchasing and preparing food at home bring to the Museum on the day. Help with setting up for the tour. After the tour tiding up making sure the kitchen is clean and tidy. Re-imbursement for money spent. Some previous experience would be beneficial.

We require the services of a maintenance/cleaner. Help Set-up for Tours. Keeping our Museum sparkling clean and in working order. We are a Centrelink approved site.

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy working outdoors, are organised and able to take direction as required, and be prepared to assist with the Event Village set up to be a part of our Event Logistics 'Dirty Weekend' team, Friday 26 to Sunday 28 April 2024.
