On Sunday 11 August Muscular Dystrophy will stage Run for Strength - a fun run/walk around Princes Park. We need volunteers to act as marshalls around the course making sure participants dont go the wrong way. It is an easy job but one that is crucial to the success of the event. Its a wonderful celebration of able bodied people coming together with those with a disability.

We are looking to superstar volunteers to help us with all things MS Brissie to the Bay bike ride, in particular photographing the event. This event supports almost 5,500 Queenslanders living with MS and other neurological conditions, and we cannot pull off events like this without our amazing volunteers.

We are seeking participants aged 18-70 years who: 1) have chronic fatigue syndrome, 2) are experiencing ongoing fatigue and symptoms following COVID-19 infection, or 3) have had COVID-19, but are not experiencing ongoing symptoms.

Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year: we will require the volunteers to be available from 3pm Friday to approximately 12pm Sunday. An exciting volunteering opportunity exists with Dementia Australia at the Cedar House Dementia Support Group on the Gold Coast. Volunteers along side staff get to support clients in a person-centred way, involving them in a variety of interesting activities that they are passionate about.
