The St Vincent de Paul Society Youth Team is looking for leaders aged between 21 – 35 years old to support local teenagers in our Youth Mentoring program. Leaders do not require any previous volunteering experience, but must be warm, energetic, and have a passion for supporting young people. The program takes place on a monthly Sunday from 8:00am-5:00pm.

Fortnightly Saturdays 1pm to 4pm in Secret Harbour. Our group assistants help young people on the Autism Spectrum with various social activities. Activities include arts, crafts, bowling, laser tag and more. This rewarding opportunity would suit those studying community services, social work, psychology etc

Spectrum Space will run our Telethon Holidays Makers Program these July school holidays for children on the autism spectrum. Activities include art and craft, video games, sensory play, board games, cooking and more! We are in need of people to help out with the kids and the activities. Host Families make a difference in the world! Being a host family means opening your home, hearts and minds to a young person in High School from overseas. Our host families are open-minded, flexible, tolerant and have a sense of humour. They are keen to learn about another country and culture and share their own lives and experiences with their student. Host Families are welcome from all across Australia - from the city to the country - from the bush to the beach!

As a Local Coordinator, you will provide additional support to a High School Exchange student from overseas who is living with a host family and attending High School in your local community. A Local Coordinator must live within 2 hours of where a student is living. If you are interested in other cultures, young people and families, this role is perfect for you. You may have been an exchange student or host family yourself - but that is not a requirement.
