Are you resourceful, a good communicator and passionate about reducing social isolation in the community? The Parents Hub supports parents caring for infants and toddlers who have additional needs. The volunteer will support the group facilitators with the weekly hosting of parent gatherings. This group aims to engage isolated families and encourage network building! Wednesdays from 9.30am-10.30am. We do ask that volunteers can commit to the role for 6 months or longer.

Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. Volunteers also support the Queensland Children’s Hospital Recovery staff by answering the phones and maintaining comfort supplies.

Provide support to parents and carers entering the operating suites at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Volunteers help ease the anxiety of a child’s surgical journey by working closely with medical staff to provide information and emotional support to parents and carers.

CareSouth's Aunties and Uncles program needs mentors for children aged 3 to 12 from vulnerable backgrounds across the Eurobodalla area. Spend time connecting and doing everyday activities with a local child, flexible hours at least once per month. CareSouth provides training and ongoing support.

Mentors required for children and young people from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds for 2 hours per fortnight (times and days flexible). Mentors provide friendship and community engagement for a period of 12 months.
