The Ashburton Community Centre runs many events and are seeking to establish a pool of volunteers who may be interested in lending a hand on a one-off or regular basis at our events. Events are a fun way to be involved, meet people and make a difference in your local community.

The Family of League has been given the exciting opportunity to be the 50:50 Raffle, charity partner at the NRL's Magic Round on Sunday 19th of May. The Townsville Folk Festival is an annual, volunteer run event. It is a family friendly 4 day camping and live music festival.

Our Cadet Program runs from April to October each year. It is open to kids between the age of 12 - 16. Cadets are trained in various facets of Firefighting and other skills. Teamwork and Communication are a big part of this program and we have had many of our Cadets stay on after turning 16 to become Active Volunteer Firefighters. Cadets may also have the opportunity to go on Camps run by the Brigade, DFES also give Cadets opportunities to go on camps.
