Alex Makes Meals (AMM), is a not-for-profit organisation created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. AMM produced food and meals for health-care workers who were working on the front-line during the pandemic. COVID is now thankfully more under control in Australia, but unfortunately food insecurity isn’t. AMM has pivoted to lend a hand and now produces food and meals for those in need in our community. The SWORD SES Logistics Team are looking men and/or women, fit and able retirees or semi retired persons who are available to deploy and/or assist in the event of a major incident which can include fire, search or cyclone. The SWORD SES Logistics Team volunteers will come in on one training night per week and be available for call outs and deployments. Truck driving as well as stores roles are all included. Call outs/deployments can occur at any time day or night. Can last for 7 days.
