What is a Cottage Carer | Leader?
Cottage Carers/Leaders attending Lions Village Licola are required to supervise and engage with children aged between 8 - 11 years on a ratio of 1 leader to 6 campers. There will be at least 2 carers in each of the 16 cottages. The role of a carer/leader is to supervise and engage throughout the day and night, encouraging positive behaviours to build a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with the campers to help build confidence, self-esteem and resilience as they enjoy 5 fun days of camp adventure and excitement . A variety of supervised outdoor activities are involved and no specialist skill sets are required.

Working with Children Check *.
Attend a pre- camp training session. Read and understand the purpose/obligations of Child Safe laws. Be caring, understanding and consistent when dealing with the children.
Benefits: Gain leadership skills and valuable experience as a Camp Cottage Carer. All expenses for the volunteer are covered.
Monday 3rd January to Friday 7th January 2022. Training date mid December will be provided by the agency.Suitable for
