About this opportunity

The Aims of a Volunteer HarbourCare are
• To reduce the amount of rubbish in Sydney Harbour
• To remove rubbish from Mosman harbour foreshores, parks and reserves
• To foster a sense of community ownership
• To encourage volunteer and community participation
• To monitor the volume of rubbish on Mosman foreshores


Duties to be performed
• Removal of rubbish from along the harbour foreshore, parks and reserves
• Collecting of litter data and reporting data back to Council on a regular basis


Types of Bushcare Volunteers:
• Individual – can work on Council foreshores, parks and reserves land behind or near their property


Scheduling
• Can be done any day. Preferably at low tide.
• Must be done during daylight hours


Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
• An interest in the preservation and protection of the marine environment
• Willingness to work individually or as part of a team
