Social community home Visitor Volunteer in Central West

Seniors & Aged Care Regular - more than 6 months Across: Lithgow NSW, Bathurst NSW, Blayney NSW, Cowra NSW, Oberon NSW

About this opportunity

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with people in their own homes. You may want to spend some time in the garden, play cards, listen to music or do some arts and craft activities. Or perhaps go to a local coffee shop.

HammondCare At Home help people across the Central West area, including Bathurst, Lithgow, Oberon, Cowra and Blayney, so we’ll work to match you with someone with similar interests in your local community.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and their local community. HammondCare is an approved provider.

HammondCare

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.
