About this opportunity

Are you an enthusiastic musician who would like to play for our consumers? Are you looking for some time playing an instrument or singing for others in a low-stress setting? We are looking for individual performers or small groups who would be keen to play old time favourites, hymns or classical pieces of music for our CaLD consumers.

If you are keen to become arts and crafts leader instead, you could be guiding seniors in the production of a variety of individual and group art projects, using various methods e.g. painting, collage and mosaic. You will be well supported by the centre’s Activity officer and with guidance take a lead in the running of a weekly activity program.

Requirements: • Passion for singing or playing an instrument and/or Passion for arts and crafts, • Creative skills, • Enthusiastic and excellent communication skills • Ability to lead a group of seniors in a fun and relaxed activity, • Planning and organisation skills. • Being able to speak other language than English could be really beneficial. Additional requirements National Police Certificate *. Must have empathy for elderly and be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

Time Required 1 or 2 days per week. Monday to Friday 10.00-12.00. Different locations available.
