About this opportunity
Social support volunteering is a great way to help make a real difference in people’s lives and help some of our vulnerable neighbours and community members to have a more active and safe social life. If you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and love helping people to connect with their community, this might be for you!
If you are able to provide transport for our Commonwealth Home and Community Support Program clients the role will involve assisting people aged over 65 to do their shopping. It may also include paying bills or other errands as required e.g. pushing trolley, reaching for items, carrying bags (ensuring these are not too heavy for you), putting bags in car and at service user’s home or front door.
