Friendly Visitor to elderly residents - Italian, Dutch, Croatian or Serbian speaking needed
About this opportunity
For some of our residents, as they get older, they revert back to their native language which can often leave them feeling isolated. Can you assist by spending one-on-one time with resident/s, communicating and sharing stories in their language. The impact of having a new friend and someone to visit them regularly can be the highlight of their week and can be a hugely rewarding volunteer role.
Visiting times can be flexible based on your availability and it can be a little as 1 hour per week.
Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *.
Communicate in native language with a resident providing social conversations.
