About this opportunity
The Health Promotion Volunteer will be responsible to provide harm reduction interventions, education, prevention information and assistance to clients and the community.
Demonstrate basic understanding of issues affecting people who use illicit drugs, or are affected by illicit drug use, and ability to provide services with empathy, sensitivity and cultural awareness. Monitor and participate in all NSP daily activities including providing information to clients and evaluating and reporting on service delivery and administration duties as required. Input statistical information into data bases, assist to develop sustainable and collaborative working relationships with other health promotion projects and relevant bodies. Other duties include preparing education packs, sorting donations, manning community bbq's, administration and data entry.
