Office Assistant

Environment & Conservation Regular - more than 6 months Kalgoorlie WA

About this opportunity

Possible Volunteer Tasks (depending on the preferences and relevant experience of the individual) include:

Community Liaison • Organise community events such as community tree planting days and launches; • Assist with excursions and events for school students and interested members of the community such as bushwalks in Karlkurla Park, tree planting, clean up days and classroom talks; • Support the CEO with responding to public enquiries about landcare issues/projects;

Publicity and Promotion • Assist with the preparation of Newsletters, Annual Reports, Sponsorship Proposals, Grant Applications, Reports and Funding Acquittals (relevant training is provided); • Prepare agendas for KBULG meetings, take minutes at meetings and type up minutes after meetings and distribute via email;

Office Duties • Assist with various office tasks such as emails, correspondence, filing, photocopying, update web page; • Provide support with finance-related tasks: prepare and send out invoices, enter data into MYOB (relevant training can be provided)

Desirable Volunteer Attributes (relevant training can be provided):  A commitment to, and personal interest, in environmental issues  Competent word processing and spreadsheet skills  Experience with preparing grant applications, sponsorship proposals, reports and correspondence  Knowledge of PowerPoint, Publisher and MYOB computer packages


Additional requirements

Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.
