Learning Support Worker - various suburbs
About this opportunity
EdConnect is looking for community members with time, talent and passion to work with vulnerable, and at risk students in both primary and secondary school settings in a general volunteering capacity. By its nature this role may be more variable and caters to the need of the school for the volunteer support that complements teaching and mentoring classes.
You may be helping with classroom tasks, simply be reading with children or other tasks may include providing assistance in a school library, helping deliver and service the school canteen, school fundraising, assisting at school sports days, carnivals and other events.

A positive attitude towards children and education. Good communication skills - competent written and spoken English. Demonstrate positive behaviours such as respect, patience, maturity and reliability. Empathy and understanding of the challenges experienced by school-aged children. Commitment to the program.
- Must be over 18 years of age

Minimum 6 months commitment. Willing to to attend the school 1 hour per week during school hours.
