Riding for the Disabled Volunteers Required

About this opportunity

Volunteers required to assist the centre for a few hours a week, grooming and preparing the horses for the RDA lessons, side walking with the horses during the lessons, monitoring and assisting students during lessons and leading horses during lessons. No experience necessary. Commitment is required. 1,2 or 3 mornings a week from 8.30 to 1.00pm during school terms. Training is on the job and volunteers do what feels comfortable for them. Working with children check required. A love of horses and working with the disabled is necessary. Early morning 8:30 am start weekends.

you need ot have your own transport to get to the riding school and be familiar with horses or willing ot learn how to groom and communicate with horses.
