Numeracy Learning Club tutors also have a responsibility to support students to improve their maths and general numeracy skills by using a range of supplied numeracy-based activities.
Literacy Learning Club tutors also have a responsibility to support students to improve their reading and general literacy skills by using a range of supplied literacy-based activities.
The volunteer Learning Club Tutor role offers the opportunity for you to use and enhance your tutoring and relationship skills, alongside other passionate team members! Key responsibilities of this role include:
Assist students to complete homework tasks Assist students in developing skills and knowledge in particular subject areas through structured activities Model and encourage appropriate behavioural standards and build positive relationships with students Set up and pack (tables/chairs/resources/fruit etc) Liaise with the Club Coordinator on students' support needs and progress
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
No previous experience needed, however would desire a high level of communication skills, be organised, and enjoy working with young people.
Must have Children Protection Checks, and attend training provided.
2.45pm - 4.30pm during school term. Varies days, located in Kwinana and Rockingham
