Volunteers connecting volunteers - Referral/Administration Officer Midland

About this opportunity

You will be interviewing prospective volunteers and referring them, through our online database, to appropriate volunteer roles in our community. Subsequent to the interview you will be covering follow up phone calls and emails to ensure positive outcomes for both the volunteer client and the organisations to whom you have referred.

This is a great volunteer role for anyone who has any HR or recruitment experience or someone who just generally loves engaging with people and would like a meaningful volunteer experience.

All training is provided, but computer and database experience is essential.

As part of the team, there are a range of additional administration roles to be covered to keep the service ticking along.

Team meetings are held 4 times an year and there will be additional training from time to time. It is expected that you will make every effort to attend these sessions.

If you love meeting people, are a good listener, proactive, self managed and reliable this could be just the role for you.

Additional requirements

Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.

Must enjoy customer service and have a happy and helpful disposition.

• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills,
• computer literate .
• Ability to work independently
• Punctual and reliable

Ideally someone with knowledge of the Not for Profit Sector and/or the Recruitment industry. However, you will learn on the job and be given support and all the necessary resources to cover the role with confidence.

We would be looking for a minimum of 6 months commitment.

Time Required

A weekly Thursday commitment is required from 10:00am - 4:00pm. (shorter hours are a possibility but must be willing to start at 10am)
