About this opportunity
Adventist Senior Living is a not-for-profit organisation with four sites throughout North New South Wales. The site in Cooranbong, in the Lake Macquarie district, provides aged care services to over 500 people. These services range from Independent Living to High Care, including dementia specific care. Our team of volunteers assists us in providing holistic and complete care to all residents.
Our café opens for lunch Monday-Friday and services our Lifestyle Communities, staff, and visitors to residential care. There are two shifts per day, with a need for three volunteers each day. Choose one or more shifts a week, fortnight or month depending on your availability. The shifts are from 11 am - 2.00 pm; 11.30 - 2.30 pm and 11.45 - 1.15 pm. Duties include serving food, attending the cash register, washing dishes, and general tidy up. Volunteers will be provided with a lunch meal following their shift.
Benefits of this role include experience in the Aged Care Sector. You will have opportunities to connect with other volunteers through training, annual events, and working relationships. Our volunteer team (and staff) are a supportive, friendly and welcoming team of people.
Don't miss out on this great opportunity to have some fun and meet a great group of people!
