Volunteer Biographers needed help people with terminal illness tell their story
About this opportunity
Do something powerful-become a palliative care volunteer biographer and impact your neighbourhood…one person at a time. Eastern Palliative Care is looking for volunteers to support clients on our program, living across central and outer Eastern Melbourne, with home visits to listen, record and compile biographies, during business hours. We value our strong and exceptional team of volunteers and provide full training, ongoing support and mentoring. Volunteers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds with good spoken English are welcome. NOTE: We currently need volunteer biographers living in Yarra Ranges, Maroondah, Knox, Monash and Whitehorse.
Call us on 1300 130 813 (ask for Volunteer Services) for a chat or visit our website for further information: epc.asn.au/services/palliative-care-trained-volunteers/
You must be able to type and use MS Word at an intermediate level, because there is a lot of typing and editing involved and this role can be time-sensitive. As such we do not accept volunteer biographers without these skills because we don't want to put them under undue pressure. Our volunteers need to be able to insert and manipulate photos, send updates via email, and use a website to log their hours and sign up for events and training. Please call us if you need any further information about this.

Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
We organise and pay for a police check for all volunteers prior to commencement.
