We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic volunteer with administrative experience to work autonomously in the office to cover either a day a week (Tuesday/Wednesday) and/or occasional days when staff are away. This is an interesting hands-on people position to assist with the running of the Volunteer Centre when staff are away. Ideally we would train a suitable person up in the position and then arrange your volunteer times as needed, hours can be negotiated to suit.
Tasks including but not limited to: Opening and closing the office. Replying to on-line expressions of Interest from community members wishing to volunteer. Organising and conducting over the phone or face-to face referrals and Interviews. Referring volunteers to agency positions. Liaising with agencies and volunteer managers. Developing and updating positions in the volunteer management system. Taking customer inquiries. Data input. General office duties.

Additional requirements
Friendly outgoing person with good sense of humour.
Must like dealing with people face-to-face and by telephone.
Some computer skills required.
Reliable team member, commitment required.
Booking appointments.
Volunteer referral interviews.
Wednesdays and/or Thursdays 9am - 3pm
