CHRISTIAN KIDS CLUB TEAM FOR INNER-CITY CHILDREN

About this opportunity

We are recruiting vibrant outgoing Christian volunteers as team members to mentor a Christian Kids Club for inner-city public housing primary aged children from Collingwood on a monthly basis during last Sunday of each month. We have need of outgoing Christian volunteers for 2021 who want to make a difference with these disadvantaged public housing migrant kids by providing fun monthly various activities and excursions and a "chat time" to help them make positive life choices. Many of these beautiful children (mostly Vietnamese or Chinese) need a positive outlet of their time and positive mentoring due to residing in a negative environment and sometimes dysfunctional family situations. The Christian Kids Club comprises of a group of 20 Grade 1 - Grade 5 children, held Sunday afternoons between 2pm - 5pm once per month (usually last Sunday of month) -  at our large home in Doncaster 3108.  Children are collected from Collingwood by bus each month and are visited during the month period at their Collingwood homes. Suitable applicants must be outgoing, engaging with children and have some skills in art, games, sport etc  that they are able to strongly contribute to the club overall as a working team This club was put in recess due to covid. We are gathering sufficient suitable team members to recommence this club afresh for 2021
