Gallery Receptionist/Invigilator.

About this opportunity

A Gallery Receptionist is required to assist us during weekends in a local community gallery in Ellenbrook. You will help make sure that all our visitors have a great experience when they visit us!

Duties include:- Answering the phone Keeping an eye on the art exhibition Handing out catalogues and promotional material Opening up and closing down the gallery Maintaining a visitor’s log book

There may be the opportunity to help set up and take down exhibitions after some training.

You would be working on a roster basis across Saturday and Sundays and there may be some weekends in between exhibitions that the gallery is closed. Each roster is 4 hours between 10am and 5pm

Note: a $15 membership fee applies for the successful applicant


Additional requirements

Working with Children Check *.

An appreciation of art is a bonus – or a willingness to learn!
Some experience in providing excellent, friendly customer service
Ideally handle the occasional sale of artworks
This is an unsupervised position requiring a certain level of maturity and responsibility
Our volunteer should be interested in art
