Volunteer Firefighter

Emergency Response Regular - more than 6 months Northcliffe WA

About this opportunity

VFRS volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local community is safe.  Volunteers do not require previous experience or knowledge of emergency services - all training is provided! As a brigade firefighter your duties may include:

  • Structural fire response·
  • Vehicle accident response·
  • Attend hazardous material incidents·
  • Assist bush fire brigades with asset protection·
  • Support St John WA paramedics

Additional requirements

Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.

Due to the response time required for ‘000’ calls, it is highly desirable that volunteers reside within 6255

Time Required

Attend incidents when you are available. Occasional weekend training & exercises throughout the year Approximately 4 hours per month for ongoing training.

All training and personal protective clothing & equipment is provided. New members are required to complete basic training prior to attending incidents.
