Our vibrant Social Centres help enable clients to remain at home by providing a valuable group social and therapy well-being service, with a focus on quality of life.

This role invites you to share your love of music by engaging our clients in the beautiful sounds of the Pianola. You don't need to be an expert to join and you can participate by either playing background music, engaging clients in sing-alongs or providing a full concert experience; the choice is yours!

Music therapy has been used to treat a number of conditions in people of all ages. It has the power to stimulate feelings of well-being by evoking memories and emotions.

Volunteers are treated as valued members of the Bethanie team. We will guide and support you along the way.

This is a great chance for you to gain a sense of achievement whilst making a difference in people’s lives.


Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . Flu vaccination . National Police Certificate *. Others .

- Current Police Clearance, or willingness to apply for one (we will coordinate and pay for this on your behalf).
- Record of having full COVID-19 vaccination (3x vaccinations for volunteers aged 18+, 2x vaccinations for volunteers aged under 18)
- Record of having (or willing to undertake) 2024 influenza vaccination.
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of the Bethanie Group Inc.

Time Required

This role can be scheduled on weekday mornings or afternoons, around your own availability. This role is not available on weekends.

Training

Volunteers undertake online Infection Control Training and an on-site induction prior to commencing in the role. This role may require the successful applicant to obtain First Aid & CPR qualifications, at Bethanie's expense.
