Ngala’s Strong Self Strong Spirit program is looking for a weekly volunteer!

SSSS is a strengths-based program for children aged 8-12 in Geraldton with the aim to build resilience and learn how to regulate big emotions.

As a volunteer, you will be able to help engage program participants and support them through their learning as well as supporting the facilitation of the program alongside two Ngala staff members.

WHEN; Tuesday afternoons, from 3:15-5pm. School Terms 2 & 4, 2024.

Please note ability to gain WWC Check and National police clearance is a must. Ngala will provide the resource to gain WWC Check and National Police clearance for the successful applicant.

Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

The volunteer would learn about emotional regulation skills alongside the students participating in the program.

This might be helpful for themselves or family members/friends/others to learn tools and strategies to manage emotions.

They would also learn about working for a not-for-profit organisation in the area of community services.

Time Required

School terms 2 & 4, 2024, Tuesday afternoons, from 3:15-5pm.
