Board & Governance - Board Member - Berkeley Vale

Community Services Regular - more than 6 months Bateau Bay NSW

About this opportunity

We are looking for a local person who is passionate about their community. Someone willing to participate at Board meetings once per month, on a Thursday at 1pm. Also to be willing to commit your strengths and knowledge by working alongside a Board who are taking an active role in supporting our Managers and hands on volunteers in our three very busy centres. Our Board is active by supporting our organisation to benefit the local persons experiencing difficulties, by advocacy information and referrals. Both Neighbourhood centres run food assistance programs with this need in the community rising by 400% in recent times due to cost of living sky rocketing and a rental crisis. Programs for children and other community groups run out of these centres. We also oversee a local Out Of School Hour Care centre. There are excellent managers in all three centres. This Role is ongoing. This opportunity comes to you via Volunteering Central Coast. Please ring 4329 7122 to make a booking for an interview so we can refer you for this
