About this opportunity
The overall project objective is to develop Uniting’s environmental strategy and of the embed into the organisation.
The initiation stage (Stage 1) which is the purpose of this project and role will develop a project scope and business case to include objectives, budget and role(s) required to develop an evidence-based environmental sustainability strategy and implementation plan to take measures to reduce Uniting’s carbon footprint and environmental impact.
To include in the project scope the exploration of critical areas where Uniting can make changes/ impact including but not limited to: renewable energy, recycling, community investment and education, managing greenhouse gas emissions, transitioning to a lower (neutral/zero) carbon economy, water consumption, supply chain, property development, circular economy and our op shops, investment, governance, accountability and transparency.
