Web/Python Developer

About this opportunity

You will be part of an exciting team and work together building new websites and maintaining and providing support for the existing ones. During your volunteer journey with us, you will be taking our ideas and turn them into attractive and functional websites under various projects.

Responsibilities

• Write reusable, testable, and effective code.
• Develop back-end components and improve the functionality of the system.
• Test and debug programs.
• Integration of user-facing elements.
• Implementation of security and data protection.
• Integration of data storage solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in IT.
• Experience or Knowledge in Python and/or other programming languages.
• Preferably hands on experience in one or two Python frameworks (Django, Flask, or Pyramid).
• Familiarity with some ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) libraries.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
• Exposure to server-side templating languages (Jinja 2, Mako).
• Basic knowledge in Odoo / ERP tools would be advantageous.
• Some exposure to AWS is nice to have but not essential.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.

Time Required
