About this opportunity

Mary lives in aged care and would benefit from friendship. Mary would like to be matched with an older woman (60plus).

We are seeking a warm, caring, reliable and empathetic volunteer with good communication skills able to commit to weekly contact (in person and when unable on the phone, letters, postcards).

Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate ^*.

Volunteers must be over 18 years of age and complete an initial online information session. Volunteers must also complete a National Police Check plus a statutory declaration if they have been a citizen or resided in a country other than Australia since the age of 16. Covid vaccination including booster is required and following covid safe protocols.

Volunteers provide 2 professional referees.

A minimum 12 month/ongoing commitment is also required.

Time Required

Weekly in person contact (when unable on the phone, letters, postcards).
