About this opportunity
Ability Heroes is a new not-for-profit enterprise which serves people by delivering access and inclusion information that benefits an estimated 12 million Australians. The data offers people with disabilities, seniors, families with young children, and anyone experiencing accidents or illness during their life to plan outings with dignity and respect.
Our services seek to engage a variety of volunteers with diverse backgrounds. People with disability, seniors, culturally and linguistically diverse or those living with psychosocial restrictions could be ideally suited to this position as they are aware of access and inclusion requirements. Anyone restricted from participating in work, sports, and pleasure activities can become a valuable community contributor. We also offer in-house skills development workshops.
People seeking a change from repeated daily routines and work stress may find participation in the project a welcome change. A record of your contribution is available when seeking further paid or voluntary employment with other organisations.
Volunteering with Ability Heroes allows participation from your home or office. Our ideal volunteer is a person seeking to acquire work experience, make new connections and receive community recognition. As a contributor, you become a champion for more robust, caring and safer communities.
