Buddy Program Volunteer

About this opportunity

You will make a difference by

• Supporting community members to get active and connected with their local community
• Supporting community members to participate in preferred activities.
• Exploring options for local activities .

To succeed, you will need

• Availability to commit to one session per week July to December 2022.
• Ability to interact positively with IPC Health clients and staff
• Willingness to work autonomously to support community members
• Friendly, adaptable communication style and active listening skills
• Familiarity with Brimbank area
• Confidence communicating in English
• Patience and flexibility
• Willingness to undergo national police check organised and paid for by IPC Health
• Current first aid qualifications or willingness to undertake first aid training
• A current Working with Children Check specifying IPC Health as your place of volunteering
• Evidence of Flu, COVID19, MMR, Varicella and Whooping Cough vaccinations or immunity
• Access to mobile phone with internet capability
• Full driver’s license and access to a car

Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate ^*.

Evidence of immunisation or immunity to:
Flu
COVID19
MMR
Varicella
Whooping Cough

Time Required

One session per week July to December 2022.
