Multiple volunteer opportunities
About this opportunity
What makes our Houses unique is that families are able to benefit from the compassionate support of our volunteers and staff, and the companionship of other families who are navigating a similar journey.
We have two roles that we require your help with:
House Helper The role of the House Helper at Ronald McDonald House North Fitzroy is to assist us in providing a clean, welcoming and comfortable environment for the families staying at the House. This includes light cleaning and bed making.
Dinner Coordinator The role of the Dinner Coordinator is to assist and oversee corporate and community groups with ‘Meals from the Heart’ dinners. The ‘Meals from the Heart’ program provides dinner for families staying at Ronald McDonald House. Dinner Coordinators support the groups to ensure food is well prepared, served to families in a timely manner and the kitchen left tidy and clean for the following day. Dinner Coordinators generally work in pairs and are required on weeknights and some weekends with shifts most commonly being 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
We also have other roles including cooking/baking, gardening, assisting at our welcome desk and events.
