First Nations Cultural Camp/Program Leader
About this opportunity
Cahoots are searching for enthusiastic volunteers to lead Cultural camps for First Nations peoples! Cultural camps are designed to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants in exploring and expanding Traditional knowledge and connection to land and culture.
Camp leaders are essential for the successful running of Cahoots programs for young people and adults living with disabilities or other social barriers. Volunteers have the opportunity to work alongside and create relationships with our participants, support them in achieving greater independence and improve their social skills. It is a truly rewarding experience and something you will never forget.
We run Cultural camps and programs for children and teenagers aged 5-16. As a camp leader, all your accommodation, meals and entry to all activities will be paid for! We'll also throw in a Cahoots shirt for you!
All volunteer camp leaders have the support of professional support workers and facilitators whilst on camps and will receive guidance beforehand from the volunteer coordinator, including an induction session.
