Check In Volunteer for Disability Program

About this opportunity

This rewarding position assists the Check-In Team and requires computer software skills. The programs start with arrivals from 9am and volunteers are on the check in desk from 8:30am until 10:30 or 11am in case of many late arrivals.

Depending on your skill set and interest, you will be assisting with any one or several of the following:

  • Participant Check-In for attendance stats and invoicing purposes.
  • Oversee and assist with volunteer and support worker check in. Most will check themselves in via QR code, but some need help with their device or need to be checked in manually through our software.
  • Process cash and Eftpos payments for participant attendance fees or support worker/volunteer lunches and print receipts.
  • Prepare money for banking.
  • Take note of contact details of new participants.
  • Take notes of any enquiries, issues, shirt orders, etc.

Ideal applicant would have the following:

  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to work under pressure at times
  • Computer skills required
  • Ability to stand on the Check-In desk for a couple of hours.

All our volunteers who work with vulnerable people or children need to hold or apply for a blue card. The blue card either needs to be applied for through Newlife or, if you are already a blue card holder, your card needs to be linked to Newlife Care.

Time Required

Weekly Fridays 8:30 - 11:00am. Weekly or fortnightly assistance is welcome.
