About this opportunity

Pets of Older Persons believe that no one should have to make the difficult choice of caring for themselves or caring for their beloved pets. We provide free dog walking, transport to vets etc. Our clients are older people and people in palliative-care at home who cannot afford to engage pet services on their own. Our service helps alleviate the burden and fear of not being able to care for their pets as much as they used to do. We rely on the generosity and dedication of volunteers to provide many of the support services offered in the POOPS program. We are in need of more dog walking volunteers! If you are an animal lover and want to help our community care for and stay together with their beloved pets, come join our team of amazing volunteers! You are matched up with a client as close as possible to your home (or work) and to a dog breed and type you feel comfortable with. Giving a small amount of your time will enrich and benefit the lives of dogs of all ages. How beautiful is that!
