Come and Join us with some fun and exciting fundraising events and tasks for Guide Dogs WA For more than 70 years Guide Dogs WA has provided life-changing Guide and Assistance Dogs to Western Australians living with low vision, disability or illness. Guide Dogs WA relies on the support of the community to continue this vital work. Throughout the year, Guide Dogs participates in community events and activities which help raise important awareness and funds. Key Responsibilities •Attendance at community events throughout the Perth metropolitan area or attend the Guide Dogs WA office to assist with Community Fundraising projects for example baking dog biscuits to sell at markets. •To be an ambassador and advocate for Guide Dogs WA, actively promoting the organisation in the community. • Display a happy, friendly and helpful demeanour. Ensure that all tasks are carried out in a professional, courteous manner. • Be familiar with and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Victoria Park WA & travel to Perth based events may be required
Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
• National Police Certificate dated within the last six months (If the candidate does not possess one, it can be applied for by EverAbility Group during the volunteer application process) • A passion for volunteering and commitment to our cause. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Reliability - willingness to devote a set amount of time regularly and be punctual. • Ability to travel. As a volunteer you will represent Guide Dogs WA at community events throughout the Perth metropolitan area or at times be based at the Victoria Park office. • A love of dogs and people!
Minimum commitment of 2-3 hours per month.Suitable for
